Dashai ko Tika - Excitement All Around

As October has already begun, the fever of dashai or dushera has begun with people starting to clean their houses, buy new clothes and then on the day of dakshmi, which we commonly call Tika, we apply tika or tilak made up of rice grains and colour known as chamal ko tika.

      I suppose all my Nepali and gorkhali friends are very excited about dashai which is very near. Mirik Bazar ma pani dherai bhir badna lageko cha with the market crowd growing when people set off to buy new clothes and stuff for dashai.

Muslim Youths stand at Bangalore Railway Station with Handbills Appealing North East People not to Leave the City

We are with you: Muslim youths displayed placard in support of North Eastern citizens at City
Railway Station in Bangalore on Thursday. Thousands
of people gather there to leave Bangalore.
India, a secular country where people from hundreds of communities of different castes, ethinicity, culture and tribes have been living since centuries. This unity was something that the whole world was proud of.
   Recent incidents of communal clashes have taken place in India. North East people had to leave Bangalore city due to the fear of communal attacks from the Muslims. The railway station of Bangalore was flooded with north east people who were leaving the city to their homelands due to fear. The people of the north east areas too were scared and worried due to the attack by the Muslims. So does that mean the NE people should hate the Muslims??
   The picture below really touched me. Due to the activities of some rowdy, uncivilized and notorious Muslims, we cannot blame the whole Muslim community for the wrong doings and start hating them. The picture reflects the true Indian brotherhood. All the innocent Muslims can't be charged guilty and they do not deserve hatred. They too feel terrible knowing the fact that the whole community is blamed for the wrong doings and for people leaving Bangalore.
     Lets not be communal or racial. Punish the ones who do the wrongs, the groups or the individuals, not the community. Lets bring peace. Lets share the bond that brings the.whole nation together, the bond of love. Let god shower love and peace this Id.

After Bangalore, North East People Flee Hyderabad

After thousands of North East people student flee from Bangalore, it had just been.reported that north east people flee from Hyderabad.

    There seems to be sort pf panic to all north east people living in metropolitan cities after NE people from Bangalore left the city.
    And now it is Hyderabad. Fearing attack from Muslims, as Hyderabad has a huge majority, north east people in Hyderabad too are in fear of attacks and are in a panic. Recently reported that north east people now flee Hyderabad after Bangalore.

5,000 students and people from North East
fled to their natives by special trains late
Wednesday and in the early hours fearing
attack in retaliation for the ethnic violence in
Assam even as Deputy chief minister R
Ashoka assure the people from the
northeast that they were safe and would be
given full protection against any attack..
News have been spreading that the people
from the northeast region would be attacked
after the Id-ul-Fitr August 20 to avenge the
Assam violence which police and home
department have termed it as wild rumors by
unscrupulous elements.. The fire of Assam
seems to be engulfing others parts in India..
Is India heading towards another National
Emergency..??

Om Chettri takes the Runner Up title in DID little masters

We had very high hopes with the reality show did little masters as there were two excellent nepali contestants this year, Om Chettri and Soumya Rai who reached the finals.
     Unfortunately, none of our nepali contestants could be the winner and the winner was Faisal Khan. Anyways Om Chettri who is eight years old from Assam grabbed the runners up title while Soumya Rai from Ranchi stood fourth. Well, these talented kids did make the nepali community in India and all over the world very proud.
